The Registered Nurse will deliver direct clinical care to patients in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager and other treating health professionals. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the effective delivery of clinical care, specialty or otherwise, within the scope of practice that the nurse is qualified, competent and registered to perform.
This role presents an opportunity to become part of a committed and contemporary Operating Theatre team. The role will work across all the different roles within theatre e.g. Scrub, Scout, Recovery.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE (but not limited to):
Promoting and maintaining clinical standards to ensure the delivery of quality patient care
Delivery of a safe standard of nursing care in accordance with the policies, standards and procedures of the nursing division and Code of Practice of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
Participation as a supportive team member in clinical and unit-based decision making
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
High level communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
Operating room experience
Ability to work in a collaborative relationship within a multi-disciplinary team
Knowledge and ability to apply Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Code of Practice (as applicable) and other legislation related to nursing/midwifery
Commitment and promotion of the organisational values and participation in the cultural growth
