Hi, After I install a new board/cpu in this box, I'm going to transfer my existing install of Win7 to an 840 Evo. I'm hoping that Windows will boot on the new board so that I can feed drivers rather than reinstall. If that works, I'd like advice about whether to install the Samsung software that came with the drive, or to just clone it with Macrium which I already have installed. Is there anything else on that Samsung disk that is useful to have installed? What's the consensus here? Original title was "Does Samsung data migration tool do anything that any other cloner can't do?" Please help. I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
