The Consultant Paediatrician is required to undertake direct clinical care of paediatric patients in the Midwest Hospital and the region. The successful applicant is required to support and teach non-specialist medical and allied health staff working with children and their families. Sponsorship via a 187 Visa may be offered to high calibre. overseas applicants.
The candidate will have a primary medical degree registrable with the Medical Board of Australia. The candidate requires a fellowship with the Royal Australian College of Physicians (Paediatrics and Child Health Division) or equivalent.
Salary as per Department of Health Medical Practitioners (WA Country Health Service) AMA Industrial Agreement 2011:
Full Time (80 hours per fortnight), Fixed Term
Consultant 1-9 (Level 16-24) $280,170 - $356,359pa*
*includes base salary $159,571 - $235,760, professional development allowance $26,295 and an allowance in lieu of Private Practice $94,304. Rates Effective as of 1st October 2012.
In addition (in line with operational requirements), 9% employer contributed superannuation, access to salary packaging up to $19,000 pa, professional development opportunities and study leave/assistance, and flexible leave arrangements apply to this position.
