A mix of smaller countries led by New Zealand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Thailand, Cyprus, Rwanda and Iceland are ranked as the top 10 countries in the world for best managing their response to Covid-19, according to a more recent study. In the study published in the journal BMJ, Flinders University study leader Fran Baum joined experts from around the world to reflect on the predictions of the Global Health Security Index (October 2019) in the event of a public health emergency. Along with Australia, Latvia and Sri Lanka as the countries with the best responses, the list highlights some of the top 10 reasons why some countries were successful and some in containing the Covid-19 pandemic over the past year.
The USA, Great Britain, the Cambodia WhatsApp Number Data Netherlands, Australia, Canada, Thailand, Sweden, Denmark, South Korea, Finland (France, Slovenia and Switzerland), were ranked as "the most prepared" in the index. For example, island nations such as Australia, New Zealand and other Pacific countries may be better prepared to manage pandemics than regional organizations such as the EU. 2. Bias against high-income countries.
